12th Ave Grill and Wine Director Rick Lilley welcome Master Sommelier Patrick Okubo for a tasting of passionate wines from the most celebrated regions in Spain. Begin with the crisp peach and silky mouth feel of an Albarino made in a 17th century palace in Rias Baixas paired with fresh local Kualoa shrimp. Then taste a Pingus Tempranillo crafted with intensity and richness but less oak than it's cult predecessor, earning it's nickname "the seductive beast" by wine critics. Finish with a labor of love named for the original wine maker's wife, 'Aurora' expresses it's unique ocean side terroir. Created with an age old, multi-layered blending, this Manzanilla reflects the finesse and complexity of a century old sherry.
Rick Lilley will be tasting, buying and bottling in Italy, France and California in the month of March so please join us for our last Wine Speaks until his return. This month we are offering two dates, both with very limited seating! Tickets are sold on a first come, first sold basis.
